Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Inspires Future Engineers Through UTC Partnership
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is helping bring engineering and project delivery to life for students at Walney Academy UTC through a new employer-led project challenge.
As a founding partner of the Walney Academy UTC Sleeve, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has played an active role in supporting the initiative since its launch. The business continues to help bridge the gap between education and industry through mentoring, engagement activities and real-world learning opportunities.
As part of its latest involvement, our team has provided a 3D model of Walney Island that students will use to explore the planning, engineering and environmental considerations involved in delivering infrastructure projects. The challenge has been designed to give students hands-on experience of industry and develop skills in problem-solving, teamwork and project delivery.
The Walney Academy UTC Sleeve will connect students with employers across the region, helping them gain valuable insight into careers in engineering, construction and infrastructure while developing the skills needed for future employment.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is represented on both the Project Steering Board and the UTC Employer Sponsor Board, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to supporting young people and helping develop Cumbria’s future workforce.
By working closely with education providers, the business is helping inspire the next generation of engineers, planners, project managers and industry leaders.
