Safer – Greener – Smarter Responsible Business event

Highlighting and promoting sustainable and innovative plant, equipment, transport and site welfare solutions from Magnor Plant and our supply chain partners. This was in order to support our net-zero carbon targets and commitment to being a responsible business.

Project overview

Working with our supply chain partners, Magnor Plant hosted a two-day ‘Safer – Greener – Smarter Responsible Business Event.’

The first event of its size for our business, it focused on promoting and helping to further educate Morgan Sindall Infrastructure colleagues on the sustainable and innovative transport, plant, equipment, and site welfare solutions available from within our supply chain and from Magnor Plant.

Working collaboratively with over 30 suppliers, we were able to highlight current solutions available to our project teams and increase awareness of future technologies and developments.

The solutions on offer covered:

  • New technologies such as Human Form Recognition, noise and dust monitoring and detection, 3D avoidance and laser scanning systems
  • Alternative fuels such as hydrogen fuelled generators and powered access, battery powered tools and equipment, solar powered solutions
  • Smart energy systems for welfare and site power management needs
  • Specialist Plant and Equipment to support specific sectors
  • Autonomous solutions for large plant.

Throughout the event, colleagues from across Morgan Sindall Infrastructure engaged with our supply chain family on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to focus on understanding the offerings available and how they may work within their projects. Project teams could also organise demonstrations and trials at specific project locations with supply chain partners.

Feedback from those who attended and supported the event included:

“I thought the event was great. It meant you could dedicate time to speak to reps when you had time to do so, with them having their products available to showcase.”

“Anyone in the business could learn something from this event.”

“Great event and really enjoyed it, even the Wednesday when the weather wasn’t so good! Clear communication and instructions before and during the event, thanks from all.”

“Great event, very well organised, and we are extremely proud to be part of the Morgan Sindall family.”
