Full eco-towable welfare
Environmentally efficient, safe and secure towable welfare units for our project teams.
Project overview
We are committed to ensuring every individual on our site has access to suitable welfare provision. By investing in the latest hybrid solar technology, our mobile welfare units, managed by Magnor Plant, help to minimise our carbon impact and provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for colleagues.
Through the remote monitoring system, we can monitor and track consumption, usage, and performance to optimise carbon reduction and gain cost savings via fuel efficiency, servicing, and driving behavioural change.
All units are fitted with an Organic Mondays wall-hung dispenser to ensure period products are freely available and a Binny™ bin to support the safe and discreet disposal of personal waste.
Northumberland Line Stations Scheme
In addition to the main site office compound, there are six satellite sites. These sites are in residential areas and have limited space for construction materials and welfare facilities. The team used three full eco mobile welfare units to support in minimising the environmental impact on the environment and local community, contributing to the project’s ‘Fuel Free’ targets.
At some of the sites, the works were directly adjacent to residential properties, so the reduced noise and diesel emissions / fumes helped to maintain community relations.
Over a 10-month period, circa 58% of the power came from solar power.
