About the role |
You’ll join the heart of our division within our central functions, where our work enables our Business Units to achieve operational excellence. Our functions include People, Learning & Development, SHEQ (safety, health, environment and quality), Strategy, Business Development, Finance and Communications.
Over a 2-year period, you’ll complete various placements, gaining in-depth exposure to at least 3 different functions whilst developing a valuable insight into our wider business. You’ll contribute to, and eventually lead, key projects which will help shape, improve and drive our business forward. We’ll work closely with you during this period to understand where your interests and strengths lie, tailoring your experience to ensure you’re set up for a long-term, fulfilling career with us.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced functional teams, and we’ll assign you a career mentor to help you navigate your development experience. Additionally, you’ll benefit from networking with other early-in-career colleagues and undertake a core training and skills programme alongside our wider graduate cohort.

About you |
By September 2025, you’ll have a 2.1 in a business or commercially related discipline. Alternatively, you may be pursuing a degree in another subject area relevant to our business (e.g. engineering, environmental science etc.).
Either way, you’ll be able to evidence commercial and people related acumen, alongside a strong interest in how businesses function across our sector.

Your development |
You’ll have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced functional teams, and we’ll assign you a career mentor to help you navigate your development experience. We’ll support you to build your confidence and project management skills so that you can increase your levels of responsibility and impact throughout the programme.

You will need to: |
· Be geographically mobile – the role is predominantly based in Rugby, but our business operates across the UK, so you’ll be prepared to drive or travel to sites across the UK · Have a willingness to learn with a strong interest in professional growth and personal development. · Be goal oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines. · Demonstrate well developed communication skills, explaining your ideas clearly to different audiences, actively listening and ensuring other points of view are heard. · Enjoy creative problem solving, seeking opportunities in difficult circumstances and adapting to change. · Love working as part of a diverse and multi-disciplinary team, operating inclusively and valuing the contribution of others.
