Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy Water business for an ambitious and talented Wiring Engineer / Project Engineer
The successful candidate will be joining our existing team of passionate and dedicated individuals, playing a major part in the OHL team
We are looking for a Wiring Project Engineer with the following attributes:
Qualified and experienced on OHL 132KV to 400KV projects
An engineering qualification (preferable)
Holder of relevant DNO, NG & SSEN authorisations (preferable)
Ability to support other roles relating to the installation of OHL assets for example but not limited to earthing and bus bar connections / installation.
The ideal applicant will have experience in either having delivered Electrical & Civil works within a live and dead environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Wiring Project Engineer for our Energy Division you will need to
Assist in the procuring of plant and equipment for pre project needs
Responsible for the completion of the OHL scope of works and documentation
Provide technical support and advice to design teams/Project Manager / engineers in assessing OHL solutions and buildability of the proposed solutions
Ensure all staff and subcontractors promote a safety and environmental conscious culture
Assist in reviewing and implementing safe systems of work for mechanical and electrical site activities, including risk assessments and method statements and impact / contingency plans
Assist in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the OHL installation programme and activities
Assist as OHL coordinator for the control and implementation of electrical safety on site
Assist in the production of OHL and O&M documentation
Coordinate, control and undertake sub-contractors reviewing of RAMs
Assist in managing defects and corrective actions

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
