Job Title: Information Management Lead

Location: Motherwell, Clyde, Home (Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time

Role Description & Scope of Work: As an Information Management Lead, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our data capabilities and information management processes. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards, creating and inputting into Information Management plans, processes and procedures, assist with a full CDE implementation, data capture and developing Power BI dashboards. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Client, Document Control Manager, Quality Manager and Engineering Manager, your primary focus will be to develop systems and processes that enable effective Information Management through a data-led approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ISO19650:
    • Possess proficiency in ISO19650 standards for information management and exchange.
    • Leading on ISO19650 rollout. Working with the Client, Project and Document Control team as an advisory and lead.
    • Ensure integration of digital processes, streamlined collaboration, data consistency, and efficient workflows.
    • Keep up to date with ISO19650 and other data related Standards.
    • Manage ISO19650 annual accreditations with the BSI for each project.
  • Information Management:
    • Manage multiple projects on a Programme.
    • Work closely with the Document Control team and Engineering Manager to create Information Management Plans, Processes and Procedures.
    • Develop roadmaps for accurate and efficient handling of project information.
    • Contribute towards the BIM Execution Plan, and ensure all stakeholders and Supply Chain have contributed.
    • Create a Handover Strategy, highlighting how you will be handing over documentation at Handover phase.
    • Work alongside IT and Legal to discuss, manage and roll out of archiving strategy.
    • Working for the Head of BIM (MSI Nuclear) to assist with driving a consistent IM approach across our Nuclear sector.
  • Document Control:
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of document control processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Manage the Document Control Team, leading IM, Document Management and Records Management, from Tender/Pre-Con all the way through to Handover/Operations.
    • Team meetings with the Document Control team, supporting them and advising them on the strategy.
    • Line managing a team of Document Controllers and Managers, setting objectives, offering support, driving consistency and managing behaviours.
  • Data Management:
    • Apply experience in data management and cleansing for enhanced data quality.
    • Introduce data capture tools within existing software applications to facilitate metrics for data insights.
    • Monitor and track actions through weekly and monthly reports based on factual information extracted from software packages.
    • Generate Power BI dashboard management and reporting tools.
    • Provide project teams and framework management with effective tools for data-driven decision-making.
    • Ensure that data is segregated, and does not exceed the set Security Classification levels.
    • Working with Official-Sensitive data.
    • Collating asset data information in a centralised register to help deliver assets back to the Client.
  • Electronic Document Management System(s):
    • Become the EDMS subject matter expert and propose new digital ways of working within the existing system to enhance productivity.
    • Assist with rollout of training to Document Control Team, Project and Supply Chain.
    • Ensure that information is shared safely and securely, abiding with Cyber Security regulations.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Previous experience of Viewpoint, Fieldview and PowerBi are desirable.
    • Awareness of Software tools to help deliver an infrastructure delivery programme.
  • Training Programs:
    • Develop and conduct software training programs for seamless rollouts.
    • Advise of any training that would be required for the Information Management team.
  • Reporting:
    • Operational reporting directly to the Project Director on Projects.
    • Line management of Document Control teams.
    • Functional line management to the Head of BIM within MSI Nuclear.

 

Travel Requirements:

    • Able to travel to locations as required (Motherwell, Clyde).

  • Ability to travel as needed to various project sites and office locations.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
