Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

The Role: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our projects, utilizing your advanced operational expertise to lead and influence the training requirements for future facility end users, ensuring seamless project handovers. You will lead the identification and development of testing/validation requirements and pre-operational work scopes during the design phase, write high-level documentation, and oversee activities in line with established startup, commissioning, and pre-operations processes.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with various teams within your project as well as external vendors and stakeholders. Your role will involve:

  • Interpreting complex drawings and technical documentation
  • Developing and overseeing working level instructions
  • Designing and planning advanced maintenance delivery and plant operability
  • Leading the planning and development of schedules for parts and equipment lists
  • Ensuring safety is at the forefront of all activities
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficiency with Maintenance and Asset Management Software
  • Extensive experience with asset importance categorisation and registration
  • Proven track record in reviewing and maintaining asset information and configuration management
  • Expertise in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and underpinning maintenance tasks
  • Strong experience in modifying and overseeing maintenance schedules
  • Significant experience in an engineering/operational/technical leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and team leadership
  • Strong computer skills for producing operational documentation and reports
  • Experience in Nuclear or a highly regulated environment is advantageous but not essential

Qualifications:

  • HNC or Level 4 equivalent in an Engineering subject (Degree preferred)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
