We have an exciting opportunity to be trained to work as an Overhead lines person
Opportunity:
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has an exciting opportunity for a trainee lines person to join our experienced OHL teams on National Grid & DNO projects 132KV-400kV on asite based Nationwide flexibility.
Upon successful training you will be able to install and maintain high voltage overhead power transmission lines, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity are achieved at all times.
You will be part of a site team, working along site experienced colleagues to:
Install, build and refurbish overhead power lines up to 400kV.
Safely working at height on structures with other team members, gaining essential skills to further your career.
Maintain and develop new skills and competencies in accordance with National Grid, Morgan Sindall standards and legislative changes.
Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Morgan Sindall and its clients.
Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Morgan Sindall operations.
Maintain site safety at all times and contribute to complete daily risk assessments where required.
Conform to all instructions stated in Risk assessments and Guidance Notes:
Ensure that accidents and near misses are promptly reported.
Complete all work to high quality standards.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a satisfactory level of GCSE’s ideally including English & Maths
Be prepared to travel and work nationally
Be willing to undertake training so you are able to safely work at height on structures with other team members
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
