What will you
|
An ideal framework for the successful candidate to gain understanding and experience of working within a Nuclear facility operating environment, the NEC4 suite of contracts, bespoke head contract conditions. Specific duties will include take-offs, notifying, recording, review and assessment of change as well as supporting the commercial team in the administration of subcontracts. A commercial graduate will be placed onto a project during the construction phase to support the project team through a range of activities. Key activities will include: · Contracts and procurement: recording and monitoring changes across both the head contract and Supply Chain contracts and ascertaining the cost and time impacts. · Measurement: Measuring construction works progress and value on site utlising both 4D BIM capability and actual progress via on site presence, based on agreed contract rates and prices · Cost forecasting: This involves forecasting the final costs of projects or work packages (individual contracts within a project). You will review tender documents, contract variations, and use this to calculate the final figure payable. · Monitoring profit and loss: This involves compiling monthly reports to compare the current and future forecast cost of work packages compared with value recovery for those packages inclusive of developing an understanding of risks and opportunities that may impact the forecasted outcomes all necessary to support the project to report on a consistent and predictable, “no surprises” basis. future costs, · Liaising with stakeholders: You will need to attend meetings with cross functional teams project teams from different capability (e.g. Engineering, Design, Safety Health Environmental and Quality, cost control), customers and support the project team to advise them on commercial issues that arise.

What qualifications

A degree accredited by a Professional Institute (RICS, CICES) at lower second or above Ability to travel or drive to remote site locations if needed Ideally some exposure to a construction/engineering environment
